Payment Options

Blues City Music gladly accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check cards backed by Visa or MasterCard, certified cashiers checks, and if necessary, electronic wire transfers.

We can not accept personal checks or have a way of accepting debit cards unless you come to our store and provide your own personal pin number.

Blues City Music only sells brand NEW Soldano, Diamond, Splawn and 65 Amps amplifiers unless SPECIFICALLY listed otherwise. These amps are inspected upon arrival, repacked, sealed, and stored in perfect condition unitl you, our valued customer, purchase one. Because of this intense attention to detail, we can't offer a refund policy, and all sales will be final. This is why we would prefer that our customers call us ahead of time with their tone needs to make sure we are all on the same sheet of music. Our goal is complete satisfaction so we hope you understand our policy.

All amplifiers must be paid for in full before it can be shipped. In order to protect both buyer and seller, you will be asked to provide the credit card number and 3 or 4 digit security code for your credit card. You will also be required to have your delivery sent to the same address as your credit card billing address. Thanks to the recent surge in fraudulent online auction purchases, our bank has insisted we enforce this practice to protect us as well as the cardholder, and as a customer I'd be thrilled to see all merchants do this with my own transactions. I'm sure you will agree with our procedures.

Finally, we will provide complete privacy of your personal information while doing business with Blues City Music.

Custom Orders

Blues City Music will arrange for any new custom Soldano amp order that you have in mind.

If Soldano can build it, we will have it arranged, and they have seen some pretty amazing ideas come through their shop. Just make sure you understand that you can drastically affect more tone changes with your amplifier by changing speakers and/or cabinets, than you can by changing tube types. I've personally tested these amps through Celestion G12H's, Vintage 30's, and 75's split in a 4 x 12" cabinet with Green Back 25's, as well as various Eminence speakers. I found much bigger differences here than I did by changing tubes from stock Sovtek 5881's to Groove Tube GE 6L6's in difference hardness ratings. Even small changes like removing or adding the back of you cabinet makes a difference in the bass response.

Diamond Amps is on the cutting edge of technology and with moving into their new facility in Houston, Texas, they are starting to add custom options to their line. You can now choose from red, green, or blue LED lights for your amp, and you can add stainless steel grilles for the head and cabinet or both. Standby for more options, and BCM will let you know ASAP if any new ones are available.

Scott Splawn has also done some amazing things with his amp line in Charlotte, NC., as evidenced on his website, so if you would like a customized amp from him, by all means gives us your ideas and we will be glad to speak with Scott and get a turnkey price for you.

65 Amps can provide all their amps as production models with the exception of the 80 watt Class AB KT 88 Rocket 88. This amp is special order only.

All custom orders are just that, CUSTOM. This means that more than likely your amp will be one of a kind. To protect both of us with the acceptance of a custom order, you'll be expected to PAY FOR IT UPFRONT AND IN FULL, and will not be elgible for a refund or cancellation once the order has been submitted. All custom orders are moved to the front of the production line ahead of stock orders, but there is no guarantee of a delivery date. You can expect it to be made as quickly as possible, but your patience would be appreciated since no other amp manufacturers go to the trouble that Mike and Scott do in regards to making your highly customized boutique amplifiers and cabinets, especially when most other amp lines today are strictly production style orders where you get what THEY build.

Once the above terms are agreed upon, you need to send me an email saying that you do agree, pay for the amp in full, and then I’ll be glad to take care of the rest to insure you get the finest made custom ordered amplifier imaginable.

Shipping & Handling

As a 26-year employee of the Federal Express Corporation, I will properly prepare, pack, secure, and ship you amp or guitar.

You can be assured that it will be done right the FIRST time. Appropriate declared value will also be added in your shipping costs to cover any unforeseen damages in transit.

Although some dealers may not charge for ground shipping, I will spend as much time as necessary in tracking, locating, and informing you of when your shipment will arrive, so you will definitely get more than your money's worth from paying for the shipping.

I would prefer to ship your order via FedEx Ground or Express depending on which service you choose, but for those customers that would prefer United Parcel Service, I can ship with them as well. Just remember as a Fedex employee, I have alternative ways of serving you with your shipping needs if I need to.

You must be prepared to SIGN for your delivery, so please make sure you are able to do so.
