Louis
Electric Amplifiers is owned and operated by legendary amp builder,
Lou Rosano, in Bergenfield, New Jersey. All amps are hand wired with
the best components available including military spec
as Lou doesnt skimp on anything. Some of his best customers
i.e., Keith Richards, Hubert Sumlin, Robben Ford, Jerry Garcia estate,
Jimmy Vaughan, Danny Gatton, etc. have been instrumental in the research
and development with his amps.
Helping
Lou with his company is a very good Blues City Music customer, Bill
Willet. Bill bought a fully customized 5 option Soldano SLO-100 head
from me years ago and when he found out I was very interested in Lous
amps, he called to tell me that he was now helping Lou in the shop
on a regular basis.
Although
we can get anything Lou makes very quickly, we have decided to carry
3 specific models as in stock BCM inventory for now. The first amp
is Lous version of the Bluesbreaker JTM 45, 2 x
12 combo. This amp was initially made famous by Eric Clapton
using his 1960 Les Paul Standard with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers.
The second amp we carry is the KR 12 head/cabinet combination. KR
stands for Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, and this amp is every
bit a perfect match for that tone when needed. The third amp is the
Buster 1 x 12" combo.

For those customers
looking for what I would call one of the most fun amps Ive
ever played, you have go to get your hands on the Bluesbreaker.
It has that raw Angus Young, Paul Kossof, Mick Ralphs, Peter
Greene plug and play style classic tone that we cant get
enough of. Raw, clear, dynamic, and in your face.
Recently, Lou received
a call from the legendary John Mayall and he called to ask if
he could borrow one for his gig in New York. Billy Gibbons of
ZZ Top fame also loves this amp according to Lou and Billy is
supposed to be calling BCM in the near future for one. He likes
it better than his original model from the 60s.

The Buster is the
smallest but possibly the most versatile amplifier in the Louis
Electric Catalog. It is designed to provide the classic 6V6
sound with a relatively low, useable 25-watt output. From quiet
practice at home, to rehearsal to gigs at small to medium venues
-- grab it and go because the Buster does it all.
The Buster features
a custom transformer, fixed bias system, Celestion G12H-30,
2 Ruby 6V6 tubes, 2 12AX7 preamp tubes, 1 Sovtek 5AR4 rectifier
tube, and 4 input jacks. The amp has two channels - Bright and
Normal - with two inputs each. The channels can be bridged for
maximum tonal sculpting. One tone knob serves the whole amp.
Despite its size and relatively low price, the Buster has all
the quality components and design work of any Louis Electric
amp.
The Buster is based
on a 5E3 tweed Deluxe. As you would expect, it covers the sparkling
highs and growling mids, and has a solid low end that never
loses its poise. The Buster has astonishing headroom and plays
as big as a full-sized single 12 valve amp
with 35-40 watts.
The Buster is a workhorse
-- play it at home and find your sound, then bring that sound
to the studio or live gig.

The long-awaited
head and bottom version of the award winning KR12 combo is offered
in standard black as well as custom colors. A KT66 version is
also available on a custom order basis.
The KR12 Bottom is
a porthole, open-back 2 x 12 pine cabinet. Joints are
dovetailed and made to the tightest tolerances available today.
The cabinet is loaded with Celestion G12H-30s and is covered
in black tolex with salt and pepper grilles.
The KR12 Head and
2x12 Bottom represents more than just a separates version of
the KR12 combo. The head is identical to the combos amp,
but the interaction of the amplifier with the cabinet creates
a sound that is truly unique to itself -- bigger, more detailed,
more open.

to be playing big halls to have the balls!
