Welcome to Blues City Music's DBZ USA Custom Shop guitar page. For those customers looking for a serious custom made guitar, you have come to the right place.

In a day where it seems most customers have to settle for an import, production, or modeling guitar that may not suit their needs, DBZ has a true Custom Shop where all DBZ USA guitars are made. When I say made there, I mean just that, NOT that is was assembled there after an offshore build. Once this custom guitar company was up and running producing world-class instruments, Diamond Amplification owner, Jeff Diamant moved DBZ to Houston, Texas, where it is now located, operated, and owned. As of June 2012, the new is up and running and hope to start production again of USA custom guitars before year's end in 2012 and be producing world-class hand made guitars once again.

DBZ can also offer about anything you want with their 8 different Custom Shop models, Cavallo, Mondial, Bolero, Imperial, Royale, Barchetta, Bird of Prey, and Venom. Solid bodies, chambered bodies, and semi hollow bodies are available, but what differs from anyone else is the fact that all guitars are built to order. That's right, when you order; DBZ builds it just like you want.

DBZ historically employed a 12-degree radius "V" profile neck with 24.75" scale that is a breeze to play. I found it just as easy and fast if not more so as any Tom Anderson, Suhr, PRS, or Gibson Custom Shop guitar that I've ever owned and/or played. DBZ uses the best quality mahogany, maple, redwood, and ebony, etc. that they can find, Sperzel tuning keys, 6 or 7 string setups, original or licensed by Floyd Rose tremolos, Bigsby tremolos, and a proprietary USA made set of humbuckers with built in coil taps. DBZ guitars just can't get any better, but wait, actually it can. New neck shapes include amazing U shapes and very streamlined Wide-Thin shapes as well.

So you have an original set of PAF's, Patent Stickers, EMG's, or T Buckers, etc. that you just can't seem to get enough of? Well, DBZ will gladly install your own pickups, give you a choice of standard top or flame top, quilt or croc skin, bone or graphite nut, and set this guitar up just like you want. It's that easy.

Although Blues City Music is only going to stock the DBZ USA Custom Shop guitars, we can certainly order any of DBZ's offshore Korean made guitars that easily exceed the quality and pricing of any competitor's similar guitar. I've played these too, and they are really good.

Blues City Music has chosen two amazing DBZ USA Custom Shop guitars to get our dealership going. I saw them on display at Winter NAMM 2011 in Anaheim, California, and knew in that instant that they were coming toMemphis with me. One is a "one off" Tiger Eye flame top chambered "Bolero", and the other is one of the very first "Royale" guitars. This is an ultra thin double cutaway guitar that is smaller than some of the industry standard guitars, but it has a serious growl to it. This body is slightly smaller than the "Imperial", but feels great to play.
