Christina Marie Burke

My name is Christina Marie Burke and I am 20 yrs of age. I have been singing classical and contemporary classical music for almost 14 years now, and I just love it! Singing is my passion and something I want to share with everyone, so hopefully, you will enjoy my self-titled debut CD, "Christina Marie Burke", as much as I did while making it!

Currently, I'm a full time Sophomore majoring in Music Business with a Health Sciences minor from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. I'm taking both classical and commercial voice this year with some amazing instructors that have shown me how to take my voice to another level. During the summers, I continue to work with Dr. Pamela Gaston, DMA, assistant professor, classical voice, at the University of Memphis.

I'm also working on a brand new CD at the moment with legendary engineer and producer, Pete Matthews, at Leeway Music in Memphis, Tennessee. Pete found and recorded the iconic band "Evanesence", and has worked with Barbara Streisand, Devon Allman, Haven Hill, and many other major label-recording artists, so his guidance will be exceptional. This project will be an all originals CD and I'm blessed to have so many fantastic songwriters allowing me to sing and record their music. Standby for more details to follow.

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for blessing me with my voice, and allowing me to share it with those I love. To my mom, whom I love very much, I thank her for supporting me and always being there when I needed her. To my dad, who has always been my number one fan, and is responsible for putting this project together from beginning to end, I thank you so very much. To my Aunt Lauren, you are the best pianist in the world. I thank you for laying down the foundation piano tracks for me in such a remarkable way. To my cousin, Russell Mann, you did a great job with the Oboe, and it was so cool having you on my record.

I'd also like to thank Terri Theil, my first voice coach, for working with me since the beginning. Your guidance has been irreplaceable. To Chris Lee and Brad Dunn of Lee Way Music, I loved every minute of recording in your studio. It was such an enjoyable experience, thanks. To Matt Martone, my engineer and producer, it was awesome working with you. You found ways to bring out the best in me, thank you so much. To Karen Bundy, thanks for helping my dad find such amazing musicians to back me including Kate Ryan, my arranger and violinist, Beth Luscombe on Viola, Stephen Short on Cello, Charles Lewis on Flute, and of course my dad on Guitar, Greg Craft on Bass, Chris Lee on Drums, Russell Mann on Oboe, and Lauren Burke on Piano, I couldn't have asked for better support with orchestration. You guys did an awesome job.

My dad talked with Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge about my record and their desire to check out dad's Soldano SLO-100 amps. You might remember Mark was the founder of Creed.

Thanks to the guys in Blackfoot for signing this slick for me while my dad and I were at their concert in Memphis in the fall of 2008. They took time to talk for quite a while after a long show. They are definitely responsible for keeping Southern Rock alive and well.
