Blues
City Music is very proud to finally have 65 Amps on board as our only
Class A amplifier line. I have been negotiating with them for a long
time and I can easily say that the 65 Amps line is by far the most
organic, three dimensional, and well built Class A amp I've ever heard.
I have sold other Class A amps before and I can proudly say those
are not in the same league as 65, and I wasn't going to stop until
I could get them on board and provide my customers with this amazing
product. When you couple their quality control and craftsmanship under
the guidance of Dan Boul, Peter Stroud, and Sam Austin, it will be
hard to find a company any better than 65 Amps. This dealership will
be a fabulous match with my already established Soldano, Splawn, and
Diamond Amplification lines, and complete my search for the best products
I can find.

- Lil' Elvis - Combo
- 12 watts - 2xEL84 - 1 x 12" Celestion G12 H30 - black &
tan tolex only - $2,395.00
Lil'
Elvis
Lil' Elvis is a breakthrough
amplifier rooted in some lost designs from the 60's best designer.
It is based on a 2xEL84 power section, 12AX7 front end, and
a clean output of 12 watts. The authority and vocabulary of
this little amp is truly surprising and inspiring. One will
never feel he's playing a small amplifier at all. The Lil' Elvis
also has 65's "Master Voltage" (patent applied for). It is a
leap forward in power technology. Not a scaling schema, attenuator,
or master volume, the Master Voltage keeps the entire vocabulary,
authority, and responses down to 2 or 3 watts by reducing the
B+ voltage. This amp also features a passive FX loop, 2 speaker
outs, and a unique tremolo and tone for days.

- London - Head
- 18 watts - 2xEL84 - black & tan tolex - $2,595.00
London
Evolved from some
of the Mid-Sixties best low powered amplifiers. The 2xEL84,
Cathode Biased, Class A sound is that of astonishing warmth,
depth, harmonic richness all in a small package that allows
big-amp sound on small stages, in the studio or at home. The
London takes the classic 2xEL84 vocabulary and pushes it way
beyond all predecessors. With the distinct tones of 2 very different
60's 18watt amps in one package, The London offers 2-amps-in-one
and allows a greatly increased vocabulary.
Think of a Marshall
18 watt type amp for the Trem channel and a Vox AC 15/30 type
amp for the Colour channel and that is exactly what the London
will give you. Although this amp doesn't have a master volume,
you can run any good quality AB switch or AB/Y switch to change
channels or stack them together if you like. That is WAY COOL.
This is the "go to"
amp for countless studio musicians, producers, and sidemen who
need a big, rich British sound in a small package. The London
survived the "18watt wars" of a few years ago and has become
the standard for 2xEL84 genre and is widely used on dozens of
major tours, major label recordings, and is a frequent guest
on national TV shows.
Trem channel - 12AX7
based with a single tone knob and an organic Bias tremolo activated
by a footswitch. This channel is the one for many of your classic
British tones from your favorite Blues and Rock records.
Colour Channel -
EF86 (pentode) based with a tone knob and 6-way color switch
that adjusts the mid focus. This channel is reminiscent of the
British Invasion sound until you push it hard via the Booster
Switch and then if flips into ultra-rich, harmonic saturation
that defines modern day boutique amplifiers.

- 20 watts - 2xEL84 - maroon & tan tolex - $2,595.00

- SoHo - Head
- 20 watts - 2xEL84 - black & tan tolex - $2,595.00
Designed to be a
super-functional amp for working players and enthusiasts who
desire widely varied tones in one amp. The SoHo can transition
seamlessly from the best of American tones to the sweetest British
tones via the BumpTM function and NOT switching channels. The
BumpTM will radically shift the tone-stack functionality achieving
astonishing renditions of dozens of excellent, natural sounds.
In addition to the BumpTM function, there is a defeatable Master
Volume that is revolutionary in that is slopes the tone stack
as you turn the Master down, giving the Master a very natural
sound and ultra-low volumes. The Master can be turned on for
"Home" mode and completely defeated for "Gig" mode. This amp
also has the Master Voltage system installed.
This amp is a must
for studio players, small club gigs and enthusiasts who need
to play at reduced volumes. . Widely adopted by studio players,
sidemen, and producers as a "go-to" amp for recording and gigging.
Upon release, the SoHo went on a dozen major tours and is widely
used on major-label recordings on a regular basis.

- Monterey - Head
- 22 watts 2x6V6 - black and tan tolex - $2,595.00
Monterey
(head only)
22 WATT (2x6V6),
EF86-12AX7 Cathode Follower with BumpTM circuit and Defeatable
Master Voltage
The Monterey (formerly
the Memphis) was created with the desire to maximize the potential
of the classic American 2x6V6 format. It can provide you the
same tones of your favorite "Fender style Tweed, Blackface,
Silverface, and Hot Rod Deluxe/Deville (TM)" all in one
amp.
The 65-Monterey is
designed with the purpose of delivering classic American amp
tones with a greatly enhanced vocabulary that extends across
the Atlantic to Britain. The Monterey can go from classic warm
& hot American tones to a wide pallet of modern, rich boutique
distortions at the flip of a switch.
All of this done
without the normal sacrifices that one associates with classic
American amps. The bass response stays tight and composed throughout
the tonal spectrum of the amp. Distortion is robust, complex
and unhampered by the normal shortcomings of traditional circuits.
This
means: no flabby low-end, no shrill top-end; a pleasant, detailed
rendition of your favorite 6V6 vocabulary with many new voices,
American and British, added.
The Monterey, along
with our SoHo amps, employs our trademarked BumpTM control.
The BumpTM control is a much more effective alternative to traditional
channel switching. The BumpTM allows the user gain-up and re-slope
the amp's tone stack allowing a much more midrange to flow through
the circuit; thereby gaining up the entire amp naturally and
not inducing false preamp gain that creates fizz and buzz. The
end result is the effect of having 2 amps in one.
In addition to the
BumpTM function, We're also putting our "Master Voltage"
knob on it that will reduce the B+ voltage and output in the
amp in an unique way. It's unique in that it keeps the internal
tube relationships perfect while keeping the filament voltage
up. After seeing all other power schemes' shortcomings, we've
come at this from a different angle and we're very pleased with
the results. You can dial this amp down to 3 watts output WITHOUT
losing tone, feel, vocabulary, authority, etc.

- Stone Pony - Head
- 25 watts - 2x7591 - black & tan tolex - $2,595.00
Stone
Pony (head only)
The Stone Pony has
the 65 "Bump" front end but runs on 7591's like the old Ampegs
from the 60's. They have a very unique and cool sound. The transformers
are optimized for the 7591's with the guys at Mercury Magnetics
and come up the old 7591 format only with a much enhanced vocabulary.
It has a very pleasant and pronounced mid-range notch that is
instantly recognizable. This amp is also offered with the Master
Voltage system.

- Colour Boost
Treble Boost - $229.00
Colour
Boost Pedal
If youd really
like to add some color to your tone with your 65 Amp, then look
no further. Their own Colour Boost pedal is just what you need.
It is a Germanium based treble boost, but it has 4 different
voicings and a separate gain knob. Think slight fuzz
without being over the top coupled with voicings from dark to
bright while running straight into your low powered 65 Amp via
standard guitar cables through the guitar input, and youll
definitely find what you may be missing. As soon as I ran one
into my own 65 Amps Lil Elvis, I immediately put one in
our recording studio for use with our London and Monterey. Both
of our engineers are really digging this pedal.
